I bought new balljoints to fit my spindles. I had to drill the arm a little to get that balljoint to fit.

---------------------------------------------Originally posted by lowrod63I just got 2500 tubular uppers, I think they are the same. what balljoins did you used and did you have to modified the spindles?      --------------------------------------------- The 2500/ 3500 uppers are solid steel not tubular, FYI. I have heated & bent a pair in a hydraulic press to correct ball joint angle. Cheap, effective & looks great.

I think each chevy 88-98 is a little different when it comes to needing a Z or not. Ive had 2 and niether needed a z to lay flat. But i dont doubt that some will need it. As for ball joints make sure you buy the Ball joints that have the right amount of travel. I switched mine once and layed it out and bent my old DJM arms because the joints didnt have the enough travel. I only use MOOG problem solver ball joints in my Chevys. They have a tremendous amount of travel, probably more then spherical joints.
