no, she hates it even more now since it's home, hahaha. At least when it was at various shops, she didn't have to see it, you know the whole "outta sight outta mind" thing. Nah, she hasn't said anything, but i think she'll be ok when i can drive her and the kids around in it. Which will probably be a while. So here's the rundown: motor was rebuilt (as a roller), seats bolted in, all holes in the rear floor welded up, front and rear floor panels bolted in for access to gas and air tanks, battery, and rear bags/fittings, tranny adjusted correctly, all gauges hooked up and working (except the oil pressure gauge, it's hooked up but has to be programmed). The hardest part was getting the engine to run correctly, apparently the tbi wiring harness was fucked sideways. They were going to drive it to me saturday night (11/19) but it got 1/4 mile from the shop and the fuel pump quit. Changed the relay on the firewall, that didn't change anything, checked the entire (every inch) of wiring from the pump to the computer to the injectors, nothing stripped, pinched, grounded, or in any way messed up. So he hooked a hot wire to the pump and it started. He shut it off, started it, let it run, shut it off, started it, let it run, shut it off, did this like 15 times and it never gave him another problem. His best guess is either the computer (which i have another of, thanks to Donna the Donor) or a sensor somewhere. WHich can't be many options since the MAP sensor, temp sensor, coolant temp sensor, IAC valve, coil connector and O2 sensor are all new, plus the distributor, cap and rotor, plugs, and plug wires are all new as well. So pretty soon, it's going to HAVE to run right because everything in the damn motor compartment is gonna be new, lol. So that's where it is right now. My only gripe right now is the dash shakes like a fat strippers ass because it's 99% plastic and the bracing is not the best. And the fiberglass gauge cluster that Gail worked so hard on (haha, i said hard on) is cracked all to shit because of it. So i'm going to have to figure out a way to put a piece of metal in there for the gauges to sit on. That's it for now, hopefully i can get it cleaned out and get some pics tomorrow.
