Whatever happened to mini mild and mini wild categories? I don't know if there are other shows still useing these classes. I know at least around here we have gotten away from it for some reason.  I see alot of nice static dropped old school minis that would classify as mild. I've talked to alot of people that don't enter shoes because they feel like they can't compete with bagged trucks and do not wish to bag their truck. Mainly because they either don't have the money to go full on like that. Others say they don't want the hassle, they like just being able to get in their truck and drive it.

there are usually shows that have varied names for their classes. *mild, *wild and *full. also ive seen *street, *mild and *full, very rarely have i seen *stock, *mild, *full. i personally have always thought there should have been a trailer cllass. all those who have trailered rides should compete against each-other. someone who has a daily that drives it 5 or 100 miles has almost no chance at a win against a full trailer monster-bitchen ride. (altho i have beat quite a few in my time, lol). i understand they did the work, spent the money and earned that stature so no, i am not hating on them. just looking at a "fair" showing class for those less financially fortunate.

Most east coast shows still have the mild and wild classes.

every show down here in so cal normally has a mile and wild class, my s10 has always been entered in mild.

I'm not 100% sure but I think for West Coast Nats, we are utilizing the Mild and Wild classes. Also, for smaller shows, a lot of clubs are going with the straight up "Top 10" or 25 or 100, or whatever.  -Stew-

Just looking at the picture. Wouldn't it be better to enter any bagged ride in wild and enter any static dropped ride in mild? Not hating just trying to make better sense of the categories. Plus I think if the static dropped rides got a little more appreciation maybe we would get more interest in the shows. Pretty sure most of us started out with a static dropped ride before we built bagged rides. My HB is bagged but I wouldn't mind building a nice static dropped ride with nice paint, interior, wheels etc.

(in my opinion, not sure if its how it goes have only been into the scene for 2 years lol)

IMO, the reason why you don't see alot static trucks at shows is most people now have the attitudes of "go big or go home", "bag it and drag it", or even better, "drag and destroy". But if you take two trucks that are very similar but one is bagged the other static, I can pretty much guarantee that the bagged ride is gonna get more attention. But it would be a toss up of how to catagorize a truck. What if someone has a static dropped truck but has 30+ colors in the paint. It can go both ways. You could have a *paint mild and a *paint wild catagory. I think it also depends on how large the show is. I am leaving my truck static dropped. Partially cause of the money, but also cause I have nothing else to drive while its getting bagged.

most shows have gone to the lazy "top ___" with a handful of specialties. basically cuts out a lot of under construction and clean dailys. i see it both ways... it shouldn't be about the trophy but winning at shows helps push people to another level. a lot of people get stuck in a rut because they never get any motivation to finish what they've started IMO i think this would be the best class lay out top 10 full size with mild and wildtop 10 mini with mild and wildtop 5 trailer queenstop 5 under constructiontop 100 s-10s
