i have 3\8 smc valves. for some reason my drivers front side dump dumps suuuper slow. it feels and sounds like it has a slowdown on it. I do have mufflers on them but i took the muffler off and it still does it. also i looked inside the muffler and nothing dirty or anything. I took the valve apart and nothing is stuck in it or any orifices. nothing at all out of the ordinary except the air isnt moving fast. the pump valve has no problems and works like normal. any suggestions? someone said it might be my electronics on top of the solenoid but i have no clue.

is there maybe something blocking the fittings or lines ahead of the valve?

i have it plumbed fill-------dump                                   I                                   I                                   I                                bag    so its straight on. nothing that can get plugged. and with the valve torn apart i aired up and let it shoot thru everything to dislodge anything which may have been stuck in. its like its not openeing the diaphram all the way.

do you have proper ground for the solenoid?
simple-pleasurez   +1y
yes. i am running dual port bags with 2 fills 1 dump. all tied into the same wire for ground. and its the only valve with the problem

not tryin to be a dick but smc's are cheap why not just replace it

nah not a dick thing. its not a thing of price or anything i was just curious if anyone had ever had this problem. just one of the wierdest things i have seen a valve do. i have seen blown o rings torn diaphragms hell i have torn them apart and some how the springs and stuff were gone. but this is a first.

Hi, I'm not sure if your valves are the same as mine, but try this. First remove the solenoid from the stem, then remove the stem from the valve body (Use a 12" crescent wrench to do this) it unscrews. When you remove the stem, there will be another spring and sliding shaft inside of it, this assembly is called is called the pilot. the small shaft and spring set sometimes get small burs on the edges that grab and dont let it travel freely on the inside of the stem. wipe it all domn with some 400 grit sandpaper, clean it, and put it all back together.  This should solve your problem.

MIGHT not be the valve...something may be binding now
