The guy that bought my ranger off of me told me he had it set-up to lay frame on 22's up front.  I had the chance to buy the truck back but didn't have a chance to check it out before I did so.  I bought my truck back for 900 bones.  When I went to pick it up it would lay frame on 22's all right....but as far as driving it and it being safe? Hell no.  Take a look at what all he hacked to shit to get it to lay 22's up front with I-beams.  It's doable but pretty much damn pain in the ass bro.  I had to 86 my front clip and now Sinister Fabwerx is doing a full frame, stock floor b/d on it.  We we're gonna do a toyota front clip but since it's only a little more work to just do a full frame we went with that idea.  We're doing custom a-arms with the geometry based on toyota a-arms.  We're going to narrow the frame up front and also drop the engine an inch or so.

im bending the ibeam in a hydralic press and no its not going to weakin it the way were doing it or put stress on the welds, so i dont have to notch the oil pan or beam! how much does the drop tierods drop down? is it like no notch for 17's? no wany its no notch for 20's lol  and how much for them? someone send me some contact info pleaase!  the way it looks like for the oilpan situation is that the beam hits it when i only need a 1/2 inch or so more drop so i wont have to bend it much at all.

by bending the beam your changing the entire front suspension geometry. your going to have severe negative camber in all aspects of the suspension travel. thats why everyone just notches and reinforces them to go lower. i wouldnt reccommend bending them.

i dont think it'll hirt anything its not gonna bend 6 inches or something it'll be like 1 inch tops. shit i could bend it with it on the truck and still have the radius arm hooked on so you know it wouldent make it bind up when let down, ima give it a shot. im pretty sure i can make it work but if not i may be looking for an ibeam lol  did any of yall have to cut into the firewall any for the wheels to tuck? i keep forgeting to look at the tire size i want to say its 215/35/20 im still kinda nervous about the brake booster lol

the thing is the beam is long. so if you bend it 1 inch in the center its gonna move 3 inches on the end. good luck but i dont think your gonna be able to keep it from eating tires. and no i didnt have to tub the firewall for my 20s.
