Don't laugh, I decided to start doodling lately.  Here's a rough idea.  What I was trying to do on the front bumper will probably just be on the rear as chrome tubing with a hanging plate.  But nothing too flashy or crazy.  I saw a truck awhile back that had a tastefull goldleaf #13 on the rear quarter.  Was a 67-72 C10 step side.  I think that's the truck that got this whole idea started.

that rendering is actually pretty cool

I must agree this concept is not at all what I had in mind. It is actually very nice. If you can make it this low (draggin') you are already ahead and in the game. The way you sketched the number looks great racy but not nascar-that is awesome!I can already see racing seats thru the windows with 5 a point harness. 12"wide rear wheels tucking a 6" lip with a low profile semi-slick tire. I think you are on to something here. Good luck!

Thanks for the motivation guys.  Yeah, I think it's a good idea.  I'll admit I'm a country boy and like Nascar.  But to be honest, I'm a country boy from Upstate Ny.  So dirt is where it's at.  Modifieds were our passion.  Guys were always tweaking on these cars to push the envelope.  I'm thinking since I'll have a fast motor in a little ass truck, might as make it "racy"...but I'll try to find time to draw some more and really clean up the idea.  Now that I'm turning to Problem Child Kustoms for my dad's memorial tat, that's one less thing to doodle.  I'll tell anyone I can draw, but I'm no professional.  Plus, being in Iraq, I just don't have the free time.  But yeah, gonna try to get started on my dad's truck after the move back to NY and funds get back to normal (have to buy a house and winter rat).  But the good thing about a race theme, I can get away with some cheaper stuff and still pull off the look.  We'll see.
