I was forced to put the Ranger on a Uhaul car trailer once when the transmission failed on me. Truck was bodied and dropped it all the way till it hit. Only problem was I had to crawl out the window. Even with the trailer fender laid down, I couldn't open the door. Could only open it enough to roll the window up after crawling out. I've hauled a ton of equipment, shit and just random stuff. If you have to, block it like the others said. I used to do this with some equipment whenever I hauled thru Austin, TX. Cause without blocking up, the chains would always loosening up with the stop and go traffic. No worries man. It's not rocket science. And what happened to your macrocab?

it seems this year i've had to tow more bagged vehicles than ever. i've towed everything from my bodied/bagged fullsize to my bodied/juiced s10, even had to tow one of my members roadstered/bodied yotas. usually my plan of attach is the same for each vehicle. 1 heavy strap for each wheel. lay truck out on the trailer, if needed use 4x4's under it. i like towing the trucks laid out better than lifted up, just makes me feel better for some reason. if i was really worried about rockers getting scratched up (which im not because every body dropped truck that lays out scratches them up) i would possibly put 4x4's under the frame.

Here's some proof. Had to lay on the bedcover and open door about 3-4 inches to roll window up. Not blocked or anything, just dropped.

one of my club members last year had a truck roll off. it was late, i was waiting for him to get into bako then we were leaving for ludikrs down south. we took hwy 58 out to 4 corners and just as we were passing through tehachapi the thing just rolled off. i had just passed them in my full size flipping em off as i did. bout 5 seconds later my wife screamed i looked back only to be awed in what i saw. it was a dark silhouette of the truck that was just on the trailer seconds before. we were doing about 80 when it came off and we all slowed down to about 50, it was cruising with us for a second or two, hooked a left went through on coming traffic barely missing cars, off the side of the road, it then went through a huge ditch, leveled a fence post for a barbed wire fence, went about 150 yards through field, up an embankment for an overpass, over the curb, across the over pass, over the other curb, down the other side, skinned the side of a huge tree, through another fence and out into a field where is laid itself out. now keep in mind i said it was late. bout 930 pm when it rolled off i believe. it was pitch black out there and we didn't even have a flashlight. we stopped and began looking for the track or something to lead us to it but after about and hour we realized we couldn't find it alone. we called the CHP in for assistance. he got there and asked what happened. I said "we lost the truck" he said what do you mean. I said "it came off the fucking trailer", he looked at us and asked "well who's is it?" we all pointed to Ricky the owner. He then asked "well who strapped the damn thing down?" we again all pointed at Ricky. He shook his head and then asked me, "okay so what exactly am i looking for?" i said "an orange s10 pickup with huge wheels." he said "can you be more specific?" i said "it's the only one in this field somewhere i guarantee it!" he said "you guys all go up the road to the chevron, ill meet you there when i find it" we went and waited bout 30 min in complete silence. Nobody wanted to say anything. The CHP drove up and said "okay, good news! i've found it, it didn't roll, but it looks to be in about 3 feet of grass." we all got in the trucks and followed him down the road. We got out and the officer said "see the grass is up to the body on that thing!" everyone laughed a little i said "sir it's fine it's just laid out is all." he was puzzled to say the least. ricky walked up to his ruined 97 s10 bodied, shaved, suicide doors, TPI small block, on 22's. popped the door, got in it, turned the key and it started right up. we were all amazed. there was a ball valve that had got opened and drained the air out so he closed it, aired it up and we drove it onto the trailer once again. the first time he had winched the truck onto the trailer in neutral, with the winch connected still he ran one strap through the rear wheels, he then tightened the winch to hold it. he left it lifted up and in neutral for some odd reason. It had a slight air leak, the winch got slack being connected to the frame the truck rolled back slightly loosing tension on the rear strap. we hit a shitty bridge in tehachapi which made the truck bounce and it snapped the hook on the winch and the truck was set free. when we loaded it second time. 1 strap for each wheel and laid it out. still went to the show. here's some pictures of the damage from the show.
