so what performance battery is the best OPTIMA, ODYSSEY, KINETIK, ETC ETC

looking to get a new battery and just wana know what everyone thinks about what they had/have

94 chevy 1500 stock 350tbi w/ 1 electric fan on rad ,2000watt system, and 2 air-zenith compressors

Ive always used Optima, and have had no problems out of them. But this is a somewhat biased statement, due to the fact it is the only batt. i have used out of those choices...lol

I've had an red top Optima in my truck since May 2007 and its finally giving out on my, it won't stay charge all week, but I might have a capacitor issue.

Don't waste your money on Optima. Get Kinetik. Great product, made and distributed by folks that care. A true deep cell. I have had 4 Optima's in the past. 1 red, 2 yellow and a blue. Yes, 4. Same truck. In my opinion, there is no reason someone should have to replace their battery 4 times in 6 years. I was driving daily on the red and 1 yellow, and when it became my 2nd ride, I started/ran/drove my truck on a weekly basis. I do not mistreat or misuse anything. The P.O.S. batteries don't keep a charge. I wouldn't use an Optima battery as a tire chock. I'd like to add that I have no experience with Odyssey batteries, so I have nothing to say about them, good or bad. I do know that a lot of street rodders run Odyssey batteries. But I feel I have learned a $600 lesson on the Optima's, and will preach my findings. This is not my opinion. It is a fact. F- for Optima. I now have 2 Kinetik HC1800's. I love em'. And Erik Harbour was a real nice guy to deal with. I will send everybody who asks me to Kinetik. AA+ for Kinetik. You get what you pay for.:XL:

Ive been doing a whole lot of searching around for batteries for my project and decided to buy a D6500 from XS Power due to the popularity of them from the car audio/video guys. They seem to have a real good reputation.
The battery is big enough to just replace my stock battery up front without the need for a secondary battery in back to power my system which saves me money, space and work. This is my first and only deep cycle batt so i cant comment on any of the others.

sorry to hijack your thread.. But god o mighty i love that damn blue toyota... and i hate toppers on minis.. but that one just looks right... sorry i just needed to get than off my chest!!! lol

back when I did the dB Drag's ODYSSEY and KINETIK were hands down better than the rest

i have a red top in my 91 s10 since 2006 and i think its finnaly died this winter but ill find out in the spring. as for odyssey a buddy of mine has about 3 or 4 of theme in a pile in the his shop none of them lasted more then 8 months.
