yea, I picked up a 87 G20(maybe 30) reg. cab long bed, 454 pickup with low miles, truck motor ie 4 bolt main BBC. I'm going to pull the motor/trans outta it, detail them to hell, do some ceramic headers, billet valve covers, everything and then convert everything in my truck back to BBC after I finish up the B/D. Thats one reason why I ordered up the 20 gallon hot rod tank, b/c im going carb. so I need to loose the high Psi pump, plus the 80 gallon is bulky and ugly...

Also, should I run the 8 lug G20 or 30 front spindles/hubs/rotors/calipers off of that truck, and loose the dually hubs on my truck in order for more fender clearance for semi's/adapters??

(lock or chase maybe??)

Im not sure if the 30 series and 3500 series will match up with the ball joints. Lock should know. I does look like the c20-c30 have the same spindle....dont mark my word on it though. Are the 2500 and 3500 spindles the same?

where is the lock-guru when you need him??

The balljoints are different from the C20/C30 to the 3500. You can change the joints on your control arms and make them work. However you don't gain alot unless you swap to the single wheel hub.

ok sounds good, that's what I'll do bc my upper joints are shot anyways. What upper balljoins should I go with?? Brand, or specifics(I'm pretty sure I remember you posting the best for movement).. and lowers too.

The g20/30 is single wheel hub, so it'd be the best idea to go with them right??? clearance wise... in for some 22s or shit maybe i'll just go 24's if they'll fit under the hood.

Balljoint wise i prefer Moog or Uniballs. The single wheel hubs give you more clearence but I dont like how it makes the wheel suck up into the fender. Thats is why I sectioned my fenders so the lug nuts would still stick out side of the body(elbows pokin' wide for the Texas boys). But whatever floats your boat is fine with me.
As for the 24s I have some of them too, but going to have to fork over some cash fot the little tires if you are going to door it. Mine holds 24s in the front (with 255/30/24s) and the hood closes but it lacks about 1/4" from rubbing the hood bracing.

awesome... thanks for the info!!!

umm... if I go door then, I'm not sure any 24" tire will fit under there, if it's like 3" or so more than rocker... <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_confused.gif" alt=":?" title="Confused" /><!-- s:? -->
