Here is a pic from google earth of my house. We just found out we can't get the huge house with a 4 car shop that my wife's uncle was trying to sell us, so i'm going to try to talk her into refinancing so i can build a shop. The only problem is, the house is on top of a hill (front yard slopes down, back yard slopes down hard) and there's a wood/hobby shop beside the house. The floor at the back of the shop is about 4 foot off the ground (the original builder left a 2x2 1/2' hole at the back of the shop, underneath the shop is the dog house). Also, there's a 3 phase electrical system running along the fence to the right of the house, i can't build anything permanent within 10 feet of it. The end of the concrete pad is 10' 1" from the pole, so a shop would be in violation if i put it on that side of the pad. I thought about tearing down the shop and building one i could drive a car in (but bigger) where that one is, but my wife said no. So is there anywhere on the lot i could build it? The back yard's out of the question, it's too steep. To the left of the house is fairly flat, but the wife said no on that as well. What do i do? Oh yeah, my house is the one in the middle with the concrete pad beside it and the dead back yard (i have to kill it because it's too steep to mow with my mower). And if anyone can save this pic as a file so i could draw on it with microsoft paint to show what i'm talking about it, i'd appreciate it, lol.
