Will this work at all

I'm sure it can be done, but it's kinda like doing a cantilever setup with an airbag. It doesn't make sense to me. You have the spring from the torsion bar and the spring from the bag. With a hydraulic cylinder the cylinder stays stationary at the point you lift it to and then the only spring would be the torsion bar.
