Whats up everyone, thought I would post the redo of the truck. If its out of order I apologize, Im copying and pasting from the Bscene.Picked up this 83 about a month ago, not going to get crazy with it, just fix whats wrong with it and drive the hell out of it. Looking around on the internet it seems that this truck has changed hands alot the last couple years. Its in great shape other than the suspension, had a 5 link setup that was not very good. Going to keep the 3 link and do a behind and under bag setup. Got about 3 days of working it so far, anyways on with the pics:Pic from one of the original for sale posts I found:Bringing it home:Off the trailer:Had to get pics next to my buddys truck:Name tag my buddy cut out for it with the waterjet:Tear down pics:Waterline for airline:Notch not finished:Lower bag brackets, had 4 different size washers to keep the bolt from pulling through the big hole in it.Starting to take it apart:Designed some bag brackets and had Fro cut them out on the waterjet:One axle bracket together:An obligatory weld shot, not too bad for a stick welder:So that's pretty much where its at right now, got the axle out of it last night and the axle brackets welded on. Going to try pull the gas tank and get the bottom of the notches plated tomorrow. More pics tomorrow probably.

Worked on the truck all day yesterday. Spent a few hours with the grinder cutting off all the old brackets and mounts on the frame and axle. Got the bottom of the notch plated and tacked in, axle back under it and started mocking up the upper bag mounts. Still need to cut off the upper link mount on the axle and redo it, but Im waiting on the tubing for the front crossmember. Pics:

Doesnt look like alot got done in the pics, but got the crossmember in and did alot of finish welding on various things. Fro is going to cut out the tabs for the upper link, gas tank mount and a few other random brackets and gussets this week. Trying to take it to a cruise night on the 18th, we'll see how that turns out. On with the pics:Old crossmember:New crossmember:Crossmember welded in:

Nothing too exciting to look at, but got all the welding on the frame done tonight and got it painted. Need to clean up the axle and paint the link bars and it will be getting put back together. Also started stripping the powdercoat off the air tank, oh so much fun(sorry for the crappy pics, my phone wasnt cooperating tonight).

Front gas tank mount:Compressor brackets:Painted:
