I hate to hear about your troubles. I must say it seems odd you only have 14 posts here but I'd like to meet with you at Layd Out and discuss how I maybe can help you. I have been through the ringer myself lately but if I can help I will. Good luck.

Too proud to scrap it but not too proud to beg?

Not to be a dick but this shit happens all the time why don't you do what the rest of have to do - take your lumps, learn a lesson (like have full coverage on your shit) regroup with a new plan/goal and work your ass off to achieve it. Not stick your hand out expecting my hard work to fund your fucking custom truck. Look man if your shit got stolen and you needed money to buy a hoopty so you can get to work and take your kid to school I might see why you need help but come on man. One of my dirt bikes got stolen about 6 months and I had litterally about $10,000 in it with no insurance. It fucking sucks but I'm not on some dirt bike forum asking dudes for money so I can get another and pimp it out...

Dude sorry your shit got stolen that sucks but come on

Ok, I see the pics, but I just dont see it. Where did you recover the body at?

So, someone stole your truck, took the frame, but left the rest? Something just doesnt seem right.

Now, Im not calling you a liar, but I dont mind being the cynic of the bunch and say what others are thinking. The fact that you broke down (blew a line) went home and came back and it was gone... Do you realize the lengths someone would have had to go to see your truck, get a rollback with a winch, drag your truck on it and then bounce all before you made it back with a fitting or some new line????

Ok, im done, no more doubt on my end. GL with whatever happens.....

Exactly...I think they chopped up the frame just kept it to get all my goodies off of it...like my max fish control arms and spindles, compressors, slam specialties bags, aluminum fuel cell, bilstein shocks, etc, etc

Sorry, had to quote this too. You realize how insane that sounds. Its a custom truck. Its 100 times easier and more profitable to steal the truck, store it, buy a scrap truck and change some VINs around, then sell the thing as a whole, rather than cut it up for a few hundred in parts. Who the hell cuts up a custom frame for some control arms, and a little suspension parts. Nothing on that truck was worth that hassle (no offense) to go to those lengths for used parts to sell, use.....

Hardluck13- You dont know my story not asking for your help...no full coverage because this truck originated as a 2dr 99 toyota tacoma valued at about $2400, which isn't worth my $170 a month. I dont need to get any hoopty to get my kid to school, I'm still young and have no kid, but I do go to school full time and work part-time at UPS (30 hrs a week). Sorry to hear about your dirt bike but quite honestly this truck was a lot more than that...one out of two 4dr long bed Tacoma on this side of the coast..

DalyDrgr- Obviously you dont realize where I live...Maybe you live in a city maybe you don't, but where I live in Chattanooga, TN people run chop shops everyday....Where I found my truck was in the straight gutter gutter where pit bulls were chained up to trees not being taken care of. People here don't give a shit about what kind of money was dumped into this thing ($25k as of now with al reciepts there to prove.) Good luck with someone to change the VINs on this truck too BTW..my stock floor body dropped frame stretched to fit a 2dr bed on a 4dr with a underslung frame is kinda easily spotted with as many people as I know. And "no offense" but Im not sure youre aware of the world we live in where people don't give a shit about anything except the crack rock they're gonna buy later with the money they got off my 20/22 KMC Nova combos

Look guys again I'm not looking for your pity I'm simply asking for my long mini lovers, club members, and any other vehicle lovers who have came together to be aware at how rare of a truck this was and help seek revenge on the sorry human beings who got their hands on a $10k frame..

That really sucks, and I definitely feel for you.

But, if everyone got on here with their troubles looking for help, the server would shut down. My 68 C-10 was stolen 5 years ago, and I just paid the credit card off last month I used to get 90% of the parts.

Keep your head up though.

You realize that full coverage, especially with all the receipts you say you have, would cover everything, right?? Not just the base value of the titled vehicle, but all accessories as well, and the labor to put it back to the way it was, provided you have the proof of what was done. Ive been there before, and had my custom vehicle fully rebuilt because i had the reciepts and all.

And, seriously, the dirt bike comment is a bit juvenile, dont you think? Just because the truck meant more to you, cost more, whatever, doesnt make it any more special that anyone should give a shit, compared to someone who lost something just as valuable to them. Being a dick doesnt help your cause.

And yes, I know exactly how chop shops are ran, grew up in New York, which has a much higher rate of these occurrences than in Tennessee. My point was simply, the timing and effort to even get your truck, in what I assume was a very small window of time, is pretty damn high. Unless of course, you left your truck in the middle of the night, and didnt return to it until the next day, which unfortunate as it is, I'd say you should have been a bit more diligent in getting your truck home. Not saying you deserved it, but you damn sure made it easy for someone to do it....
