Well said Ven and I agree.. I remember seeing this frame on his page and was like dang but never knew of the truck it went under.. and Bob u don't need to justify your direction of this truck with anyone other then yourself.... I'm sure it'll turn out great!!!! And can't wait to see more!!!!!!!

I really want to post the rendering. I can tell you all what I'm doing as all of you know there seems to be a a large group building these 520 and 521 trucks. When this project was started there were really none out there that were a complete chassis like this. About a month ago I was pretty sick to the point where I was stuck in bed and to get around I was in a wheel chair so I really did not want anyone seeing me so I stayed home.

Back to the truck I was thinking what can I change on this truck to make it stand out in the crowd. I did not want to paint it crazy because I wanted a street rod looking mini truck. So I thought what can I do to it that is different. So I thought do something from the 70s to the truck but to be honest not much in the 70s were cool. So one night it came to me so I did my research and found it. There was a company that was here in Cali that was called California Step Side. They copied a C10 Chevy Step Side now this is not the bed that Chevy Luvs had. This bed is exactly like a C10 bed but scaled down. So I started looking I found out that these beds are really rare and people who have them think a lot about the price they want. I was getting quotes from $2500.00 to $3500.00 for these beds. So I said no way am I spending that kind of cash for a bed. So I called Datsun Mike he said do you know how rare these beds are I said yes. Then Mike said I have two of them I asked Mike if he wanted to sell one he said yes $2500.00 I said shit. Then Mike asked me who is it for I told him it was for my 521. Then Mike said if you come to AZ I will give it to you. I was like a kid that just saw Santa. So Jason my Az Sunset Pres picked it up and delivered it.

The funny thing when I brought the truck home the kids would see the truck in the garage and say that Fing thing is bad ass. then we started cutting this bed so i could get the step and the fenders to lay. So we set the bed on the chassis tucking half the wheel I knew it was going to be bad ass. Then the older guys walking there dogs said hey nice fat fendered Street Rod. I laugh and said it not a Street Rod It's A Datsun Pick up. So they looked at it and said wow this thing is low and fat looking. I looked at my Son and said that is exactly the response I was looking for. Sorry this tuned into a novel I guess you can tell the old guy is excited about this truck.
