ouch!!

We had a guy put one on her side last week. I'll try and get a pic of it of I can, but it would seem who ever pulled ours out of the ditch did a better job then the guy you ripped the sleeper off yours.

Yeah, I wasn't there when they righted her, but our Equipment Foreman was. He said they were pretty brutal. They hooked to the frame, just under the sleeper. He said when they winched up, it split that sleeper open like a Coke can.

From what I hear, out in SoCal, the wreckers are contracted by the CHP. So when the hooks show up, they don't give a crap what happens to your ride, they just need to get you off the freeway ASAP. He was spread across two lanes, and I know you guys all hear about SoCal traffic...gotta keep it moving.

they are not on contract just on rotation and if you dont hury up and clear the road they get all pissy cause they have to work late and next thing you know they wont call call ya anymore. Generally on a big wrecker call it can mean some big money. I worked for a body shop for like 10 or 11 years that also had a garage and a wrecker service so I went on a lot of the calls with em.

dude, that sucks to see a nice clean 359 like that. i drive a heavy wrecker myself and i say the driver that uprighted that truck didnt know what he was doing. if interested, i have a 63" flat top non unibilt that would work real nice on that truck that came off an 88 379.

Yeah, I dunno. I'll ask him, but I think he was going to make a day cab out of it.

sorry it took so long to get back here, been busy as hell towing trucks.

you can get the sleeper for $500. i do have a forklift to load it, so if you wanted it, just arrange a truck to come out for it and i can load it up.
