How do I change my build thumbnail?

I admit I looked and didn't see anything obvious how to change a build thumbnail, if I happen to come across it I will. I admit I don't like the way facebook looks. You see it everywhere, I don't even have an account and know when someone is on facebook. I won't run and hide if it ends up that way but not my preferred choice of looks, but like others have said, thanks for stepping up and taking over.

Just another small update. I finished downloading a complete backup of all hosted files this Saturday. I have everything uploaded to it's new home except for all of the photos. For those who love stats can you guess how many photos Street Source has?.........405,346! While that is happening in the background I'm going to start responding to your feedback.

First I want to say, I hope I don't leave anyone out. Your feedback is very important to me. I've been reading the comments made since the new redesign. Kris has provided an excellent starting point but I know there is still a lot of work ahead of me. With your help, we can bring Street Source or as most of us call it "SSM" back!
I'll be starting new threads to seperate the feedback for next wave of changes.

John Cambra - I plan on making it easier to upload coverage but at this point I don't see me bringing back the online magazine. I think we can take what you love about the magazine and make it quicker to get the content to the masses though! I also agree about it not being mini truck source, I remember what really attracted me to SSM in 2000 was the variety.

JTB - Polls, great idea! I agree with the speed of content being priority!

Jim Sanders - I agree with you completely. I'll do my best not to build up the features to be bigger then they actually are but sometimes I may get too excited. I'll probably work on a polls feature after the uploading coverage feature is more user friendly.

Captain Crunk - I want to see it come back, I'll need some help for sure!

Brandt Fuqua - I agree, and that is going to be my main focus so to speak. To put the power back into the people as far as new content! I think bringing back the Top 5 will really highlight the users and their projects. I remember when people use to congratulate each other for being on Top 5. Getting your ride featured in the daily Top 5 was like an award!

Allen Gordon - I backed up the data from the existing tech archive but I have an idea to make more or less a wiki style system to make it easier for people to contribute. Do you like how Wikipedia is formatted?

Victor Badoino - No problemo! For the old version of SSM coming back, which version are you talking about? As far as the layout, it's not coming back but that doesn't mean I can't take the features missed in the old versions and then add them to this one!

NateDog Creations - Thanks for the feedback Nate! I agree 100%. I'm going to need to provide the way for others to add the content first before being the content provider.

Jiggawho111 - I think I remember those days. I could really use your feedback. There is nothing wrong with lurking but one of the greatest challenges for a website is how to get lurkers to start posting! I know this site has a lot of lurkers that have a lot to share. Can you pin point what made you want to post? I could really use your feedback in an effort to bring back old users. They may visit the site already and just not post.

Javier Mayol - Very good advice. I want to make you all feel like you have a say in the sites future because you really do! I know I won't be able to make everyone happy but I will always listen to your opinions. As for me I'll create profiles for my projects after the site work has settled down. For a quick bio, my current position is Sr. Systems Engineer. I've been working in the IT field for about 10 years, working on trucks for many more. I can appreciate any style of custom auto or machinery as long as it has good craftsmanship. I also enjoy learning about the engineering done by ancient civilizations.

Gary Ellison - I appreciate your coverage! I think you would be a great tester for the new coverage uploader once it's ready. Let me know if you are interested.

Drop Dead - I like that idea, so say you are planning to go to a show. You click it then it shows your friends that are going then maybe below everyone that is going?

Scoobysmak - Nice name! I agree, the ads were a little too much. I plan on bringing back the top 5. The show calendar is a good idea too! I think I see what you are saying though, not so much as a key word search but have the site come up with links for you to click on to browse all of the content. I think a dark skin would be ideal. For the owner profiles, I've noticed this too. I'll work on getting those cleaned up at a later date. You have some really good suggestions, I may need to pick your brain if you are ok with that!

And yes,I will be glad to help. Have 4 - 2013 shows,the first of which is up loaded,the name just get right,Sacramento Auto Rama. then Good Guys Pleasanton 159 photo's Danger Zone which I started to upload & it didn't go , 339 photo's , & Haywire with 191. A Fathers Day show in 2 weeks is next!
