RIP Minitruckin Mag

I am one of the few that doesn't have a FB account. If people used it to keep track of friends and family and post every so often to have like a BBQ or get together it would be great. I have seen friends just vanish in the internet "matrix", they rush home to update FB and let everyone know how they feel or some other random post seemingly to get attention.

The invention of social media could be great but the down sides have started to appear, the loss of MT mag is just one, this site was almost another. Everyone should get out and socialize with real people, you would be surprised how much more you get out of it.

can anyone please confirm they..minitruckinmag...posted anywhere this is true? instagram they havent posted anything in 4 weeks...thats sad last couple issues they havent said anything...thats sad...anyone read anywhere from them about this?

The rumors are that John Mata will continue on with a minitruckin column in Truckin magazine.

That will be great if Truckin puts some minis back into the mix of the mag!

Wonder if Truckin will start to have show coverage again. The two biggest things in the mag and you cut one out (features and show coverage). Some tech articles are nice but usually don't apply to everyone.

I will confess the show coverage for any mag now seems kinda lame. I understand it cost money to print pages but it would have done two things if show coverage for major shows was at least 4 to 5 pages. First it would have created some advertising for the show next year, people would have paid attention to the date listed and try to hit it next year Vs the little 3 or 4 lines of print in an upcoming event section at the back. Second I know there would have been more people to purchase the mag had they seen their truck in the show coverage, this means more sales and could charge a higher premium for advertisement.

Instead it seems "some one" said lets save a penny or two per mag and well...you see where that got them (unfortunately, probably didn't affect the person who made the decision though).

Did anyone check out minitruckinonline.com yet? They posted the march 1st issue. Its pretty cool. The weird part is the pictures seem like they were meant for print and not the internet so there isn't as many large pics as I would hope.

Did they just go under? there was more of a following years back, always had a subscription. fuck facebook, bring back MT. Where do i donate to 'Save Mini Truckin'
