welp i dont post very often but here goes ... i dont see the big deal if they put some MT based cars in the magazine we all have the same lifestyle trucks, cars, powerwheels wtf ever as ong as its not all riced out with 1000 pounds of bodykit whats the issue just because its a car... it seems to me the only ones bitching about cars being in it is the ones that knows the cars are alot nicer then the truck they are building so they gotta go captain hater on something that shouldnt matter in the first place. it would be like you bbeing in some club and saying we cant except you because you have a car its really rediculous some of you people really need to pull your head out of your ass and find something better to do then bitch about a car being in a magazine... that is all

How would some of you guys feel if guys starting saying things like, "it's okay to put Toyota's in Minitruckin', as long as they don't have giant bodykits and neon lights, and wings on the bed" ???

Sounds silly huh?

Well, that's exactly how it sounds when you guys say it's okay to add cars to the magazine as long as they don't have that stuff...it's insulting to Mike Alexander and all the other guys that run the mag. Do you REALLY have THAT little faith in them to put the best stuff out there in the mag? In the end, isn't that what this is about? It's not about throwing cars in for the sake of having a car in there, and it's not about making something mandatory, then you run into the problem of filling "a slot" with a sub-par vehicle. I've been a reader since the mag started, and I've seen a few features over the years that I wondered why it was featured, I'm sure we all have...

I guess my easy take on it is like a few others...

Mike, I trust your judgement...I know if it's not worthy to be in the magazine, you wouldn't even bother...we're talking about cars like Adam's, and Fievel's, and the ones that are pushing things.

P.S. Dough - no offense to you bro, you were just the last guy mentioning it.

i understand what your saying but i think the point is that they are trying to stay with MT based cars if it even happens in the future. the bagged, unibodydropped.nice paint jobs etc etc not the ones with a large mouth bass front end and a 12 foot ladder hanging off the back rollin stock rims with autozone exhaust pipe with their krylon painted ac vents, but anyway that just went way off the topic thats not what this threads about anyway im just saying i dont see the big deal if they ran a car sometimes thats badass and owns alot of the trucks out there.

look at it like this guys, everyone of us waits everymonth for magazines to come out so we can flip the the pages of show coverage and features to see if we have a picture or a glimpse of our rides in them, why cant the car guys share the same excitement? the import/car magazines wont show them cause there not decked out with big wings and coffee can exhaust, minitruckin wont show them cause there not trucks, but fit in there life style perfect,so again whats wrong with showing them in the show coverage and WHEN one comes along nice enough to be featured have a feature on it,maybe not every month, maybe this will entice some of the new kids to build these types of rides instead of the nopi monsters there into now and help our scene and LIFESTYLE out, cause we surely need it

Our cars represent the MT lifestyle & there shouldn't be a reason that MT cannot give some type of recognition for it. We don't deserve the segregation (sp??) that some of our fellow MTers are giving us. There has been so many ideas brought on how to make it work & im sure Mike & his crew can make something work.

i dont under stand the "minitruckin is for mini trucks." what is a truck? something with a cab and a bed? then why are the mini suvs like blazers allowed in it? cos its a similiar platform? a suv is just a damn car. minitruckin is a lifestyle. i call myself a minitrucker and drive a fullsize.
