the only problem i see is there is not enough of us mini inspired car owners.........which by all means is great to me because its not like a cookie cutter truck you see at every show. bt i have to agree with grip 100%

^^ maybe thats because they are not printed in ANY magazine. Grinder is no longer from what im told. I dont see any harm in "tossing" in a car or two. everyonce and a while. Mini trucking is much more than just MINI TRUCKS imo

i agree to try and see how it goes there are alot more cars styled the same as trucks then there were back then , and if people hate on it or stop reading minitruckin because of it means they arent diehard readers , if we are all into the "custom" scene shouldnt matter what it is on ive seen street rod inspired minis in rodding mags you dont see them guys off bitchin bout it

"I could glance a car across the show grounds and instantly tell you how its classed. There isn't alot of confusion as to what group something falls into.I think what offended so many people back in the day was the import influence with the bodykits and the big surface wheels. There was so much hate back then towards tuners it was crazy.Cars in minitruckin should follow the same basic criteria as the trucks.Bodydrop is almost a must in my book along with clean traditional style. The pickins are a bit better now than they where back in the day with fifty thousand dollar luxury cars bodydropped on big clean wheels.I could name a dozen worthy of feature that we all know and have seen in videos, threads, shows but are never takin to press because they have no outlet.AON has a few."What are big surface wheels?Look at the thread there is still disagreement on it. If its changed since then great. I was a fan of it because we have always had a good mix of cars since the mid 90's. If people can now see across a showfield and see it.. what is different then before? Was Tito incorrect in round 1 of it. Was his vision cloudy? I'm not playing my opinion is right so it is so. I'm just wondering what has changed. A fullsize car should not be in minitruckin. Look at the name of the vehicle that should some it up. I personally think there should be some cars mixed in. If Mike A can pull it off with the powers that be then good for him.

Dan, your looking at it through a narrow glass.Mini related can mean a lot of things
For example,

I came across a 57 belair on another forum last year that was bodydropped on 22',24'' inch billets.Shaved handles, trim, glass molding, bla bla bla.Where does it belong?I can tell you streetrodder won't shoot it because its too(lowrider). The fact is he belongs with us and I can't see why anyone would have a problem with this car.How about the black towncar? If it had suicide back doors and a minor interior change I would consider it.I Might consider it without the back doors worked or lets say you finish your bodydrop next year and its killer? What then?

Im not saying shoot classic cars I am just saying class it by what is relevant and you will have plenty. If not it won't hurt to run the mag without it.

"Dont base thy mini trucker by the color of his truck, or the structural integrity of his welds, but by the common bond you two share"

that is my new quote

What has changed is the style in which people build cars now.You can't consider a saturn to be the same thing as fifty grand towncar. That is the difference.Tito shoot hondas with bodykits not bodydropped caprices and towncars.

i can see how i look through a narrow glass & thats because when i thing mini inspired as too mini trucks, i think sport compact cars......but don't get me wrong, i love the scene & style in any form or fashion that someone can put into their ride

So you want fullsize cars in a mini related mag. Why not shoot fullsize trucks then? They are of the mini style. That sort of thing would just be a rebranded Grinder which was a great mag. Galen could tell you all about that.
