D'Max would be cool cause it would go with the Chevy theme better than the Cummins as far as factory matches go, but at the end of the day, it's still an Isuzu.

The Duramax will fit. It's actually a bolt in and with the standard chevy bellhousing, you can pretty much use any trans that chevy came out with. Some of the bigger issues are clearance of the turbo downpipe to the firewall, running the intercooler, and clearance to the air conditioner housing. I'll see if I can't dig up some pics.

seen cummins in them before but not duramax...

I'm thinking about buying a buddy of mine's 85 it has a turbo cummins. But it has a lot of small issue with the truck that I don't really want to deal with But for the price. Granted you could not buy the motor and tranny and do the install for the what he's asking. But you can smoke the tires all day long and get 21 mpg!

LOL i can smoke the tires alld ay long and get 8-12

i can get 12-14 and smoke the tires and lay down a stream of sprkz
