This is a way old thread, but as I am doing my panhard location today, I figured i'd resurrect it.
I have a 29" long panhard bar, and I know the basics, (funny I have never really installed one yet???) whenever we did a truck with a panhard my buddy would do the panhard part when we set the ride height up, and I just welded crap up. So it has to be as straight as possible at ride height, and i'm going to beef up the mounting locations...but.
SOOOOOOO...Question. I have different opinions from different people. I was going to mount it to the frame on the drivers side, and to the axle on the pass side. I am going under the assumptions related to torque there would be a benefit to mounting it this way...is this correct? Is there a difference?
With the 4link being parallel should the bar try to intersect at the middle of the rear end to help with the geometry out back? Does it matter?
I will more than likely have some mock up pics to upload tonight, so check back later and see if I did it right please.
Thx guys.
