Since we are kinda on the subject is there an advantage to running a canti setup?

More lift but the bags dont carry as much weight as they would over the axle.

But you can accomplish that by putting the bags on the link bars in front of the axle.

From what i understand the 4 link is parrallel and the cantilever bars bolt to the rear leaf spring bracket....what do you do about a panhard bar is what i want to know

True, but both setups have it's pros and cons, one for both is the a changed load rate the bag can hold due to the placement position of the bag as Trevor said. But for some trucks a "canti" setup allows a simple install without relocation of certain items, gas tanks for one. But there's tons of different ways to accomplish the same goal, each have it's own pros and cons, it's just whatever floats your boat....

Just seems like a waste. You gotta have an extra bar plus the dogbone it makes for 6 extra bushings to wear out and 2 more pieces to break(not that if built right anything should break but you never know). I just didn't know if there was something about the design I was missing. I think people just like adding parts to a simple suspension setup. But to each their own.
