first off, i bought me an 06 crew cab d-max. its a 2wd. i was wondering if there is any wat to lay out with air ride technologys front setup for it. im going to be running townasty 22's sooner or latter. can it be done with djm arms, spindles and torsion keys? doesnt there setup use the torision bars still and the shockwave on the front where the shock went? im going to be running the airbar hd on the back but probably with a watts link isntead of the panhard. hope someone knows if its even possible. if not im just going to order extensive arms.

Either setup you use it should lay out fine. But I think that the AirRide stuff is designed to run a 1/2 ton torsion bar in the place of the 1 ton torsion bar (instead of just using torsion keys). Thus allowing the truck to have a little less resistance from the torison bars. You are going to have to trim alot on the frame in the front to get the shockwaves on there but the great ride is well worth it.

witch would you recomend? and in the front how far will my wheels get into my engin bay? and how much travel do a shockwave usually get? thanks for the quick reply lock.

its possible but you are going to spend alot of cash when you dont need to

Your wheels will go about 1-2" over where your stock inner fenders are in the truck now. The shockwaves only get around 4-6" of travel if that, but they ride great.

Like Brasky said you are going to spend alot of money when you dont need too. You could get the basic lowering kit for these trucks like from DJM or McGaughys. Then buy some Slam or Contitech bags with a good set of shocks and acheive the same ride quality of the shockwaves and save somewhere around 800-1000.

I am pretty sure that the aftermarkets are made of steel and not cast.

I have an 03 gmc cc duramax ally that is on the djm 6/8 now and am also looking at the kit ART kit for the front for the rear though I am going to fab up my own for what that set up runs $$$I can get a lower ride height than 32.5 fender height which I have now on a 8" rear flip than the ART kit. Only reason I am considering there front setup is with the djm kit I am having issues with bump steer and eating balljoints up at 20k miles and a pothole will knock the uper ball joint out of position (replaced the uppers 2-1 over the lowers) For the front that I am changing over to will be ART setup with Mcgaughy drop spindles

so the djm control arms arnt very good? im thinking about buying extensives arms. and just get rid of the torsion bars all together. will a slam 2800 fit in the front. only reason id go with that is the sheer weight on the front of the truck with the dmax and alli combo. and lower psi's. thanks for the help everyone.

I have the djm 6/8 on my dually and havnt had any troubles as of yet but I havnt put on those kind of miles either.

you could fit the 2800s on the front but it is over kill.

As for arms you dont need them just get McGuagheys front spindles slam 2b7s and fab up some mounts and you will be fine.

These things have huge frames to when you set them down they camber pretty good but just using the spindle will take care of most of it and save you a bundle.
