seems easy enuf seems like from pirate i would need this one correct?

88-up second generation 14 bolt 10.5 full floater/ need to know:
if drums slide off after removing wheel-need "gen 2" kit/ if wheel is removed and drum is still captured by wheel hub and studs then customer needs 73-87 14 bolt kit. (there is no reasoning as to what year will have what, we have seen both versions all thru the 90s)

i think as long as i pull wheel off i can pull drum off without pulling hug ,been a while since i seen the rear brakes haha

Y'all pardon me because I really don't know jack shit about this subject, but I was talking with someone a few months ago that was trying to buy full floaters from me that were from '94 or older. He said the newer ones were harder to set up rear discs on, something about how the brakes bolted up, but he wasn't specific. Since that would include your '98, low, you might wanna ask these guys selling the parts what's up.

If I remember right to pull your drums off you have to pull your axles shafts out. It's not a big deal, but I know my bolts where incredibly tight.

i dont think i have to pullmy axle shafts but could be wrong looking at it tommorow... ah my truck can't tow n e ways so not a concern hahaha

One word of caution before you all go pulling you axle shafts out, the bolts on the end of the hub hold the axle in, but when you pull it out, gear oil can come out, so dont make a mess! Once you get the axles out the rest of the dissassembly is just like the front. You can buy a kit if you want but the rotors and calipers are from a 73-87 C20. That and the caliper brackets are all you need besides flex lines. Really simple. oh you might want new studs also since you'll be pressing them out and back in. As far as the newer versions that have a drum you can remove w/o disassembling the hub, I've never seen one, so I dont know.
