hey there thanks for looking but my question is.... i'm looking to bag my 84 c c dually and i seen one of the street scraper kits that will fit my truck... would i be better off getting the street scraper or just build my own set up??? idk anybody that has ever run one of these. are they worth it or not really??? it is also from airbagit.com product code SCRAPR-GM7391B

ok cool i really appreciate it big bear!!! thats kinda what i was leaning towards due to the price and all and it just don't look that strong to me... but i figured i would ask b4 i committed to anything lol

no prob man. yea, youll just be happier in the end. you can buy much better quality parts and build it stronger going your own route. what setup you wanting to go with ?

i shoulda been more specific haha basic 4 link ? bag over axle, bag on bar, you know. all that good stuff

think of it this way, a pre-made kit for your custom ride. it just never really works if you want to change it in the long run.

building the rear suspension isnt really hard, a little knowledge with tools, but usually you will be happier in the long run...

i'm thinking of going with a triangulated 4 link with the bags on the bars for more lift, some plane jane notches for now and build a custom bridge with a gooseneck ball since i'm building it lol

so im assuming since your running a gooseneck you will be towing. that throws up a bit of a red flag. im not saying you cant or you shouldnt or ect. just saying its not ideal setup for towing. im sure theres ways you can make it stronger and a bit more hefty but not much. ideally to tow, you want bags over axles. keeps the weight over it. alot of guys run c

sorry lol i should've been more specific on that... all it will be pulling is an empty trailer.... i'm building a enclosed 30' gooseneck that will just be bagged to match the truck for looks only... i mean gutted for weight reduction lol it will end up weighing between 1200 and 1400 pounds total with a tongue weight of around 600 pounds.... so should i still go with the bag over axle even with that little weight?? and if so what bag gets the most lift??

I run triple stack bags behind the axle, ride is great, over a foot of lift and tows awesome. Install isn't anything special or great looking but function is how I built it, no fancy tubing or anything like that.
