What kind of airline does everyone run? Is it DOT approved or you use something else?

yeah i run nothing but dot approved air line im doing 1/2in on my truck

I will run dot on a tight budget,I usually run hydraulic hose or stainless hardlines

I was thinking hydraulic, stainless is way expensive. Where do you get your material at? Can you get a ticket for no running DOT approved airline?

I had thought about running some 1/2" copper air lines on my truck. Has anyone ever tried this?? I know it's good for the PSI of air ride but not sure how it would hold up. It's really not to expensive if you buy it by the roll at lowe's or home depot.
Just thinking it might be a less expensive way to run hard lines without the cost of stainless. Plus it would look badass.

I wonder the same on copper. I need to replace my edc line as I keep melting them. I have been running hydraulic hose for it but keep blowing them and the last time burned up my compressor in the process. The edc gets so damn hot and will melt regular dot airline and hydraulic hose after a short while so looking for something more permanent but flexible.

My oasis and the old engine driven that was on my sierra both come with a steel braided line thats still flexible....you can prolly buy one straight from oasis but it will prolly cost out the ass

Yeah I need one like 20 some feet, won't be cheap and it will still be rubber on the inside.

When I setup my York I plan on running copper until about the last foot and than running a braided line. By the time the hot air out of the EDC makes it back to the regulator and separator it should be cooled down enough to run through something flexible. Also I'm going to make a bit of an inline cooler right out of the EDC. I'll either solder some washers onto a section of the copper line and make some cooling fin type pieces or make a pig tailed type section going down and try to get some air flow through it. Heat is definitely an issue in some cases coming out of a York.

Ive seen a few trucks that ran copper lines. But you have to run the thicker walled stuff. I think its called dwv but not 100% positive. I will check around on it. I also plan on running the same way to one of my tanks. But i think you have to get it from a plumbing supply house.
