I used to do some HVAC work and did a lot of copper tubing work. What you want for copper tubing is "Type K". It's the thickest type of copper tubing and is made for HVAC and compressed air or gases. Type L is also for HVAC and compressed air but isn't as thick and isn't rated for near as much pressure. Type K is definitely hard to work with though when it comes to making nice bends due to it's thickness. You can pick either type k or L up at any Lowes in a 10' or 25' foot coil for not a lot of cash. Hope that helps.
Which York do you have? 210? Is it left or right suction? And does that really matter?
Looking to get one, trying to get some more info on it to make the right purchase.
copper or stailess is the way to go. it gives you peace of mind in the long run. to me the last part to save some money is on air bags, fittings, air line and valves. i put my few extra dollars there. i use copper most of the time and never had any problems. even for guages they sell 1/8'' copper line. extensive and other big shops is what they use most of the time for their installs .
I will see if I have any pics of it. Left or right suction only matters if it is mounted on its side. I made my own bracket and is mounted right above the power steering pump. Its been on for a few years and cant remember all of the specifics on how I mounted it. Kilby enterprises has a ton of info on their site. They sell everything you need but is a bit pricy. Last I checked ebay had 210's with serpentine clutch for like 170 or so remans. I need a new one, when my last line got a pin hole it kept running and overheated and doesnt pump well now. I have a light on my dash so I know when it is running but couldnt get pulled off the freeway in time and smoked it pretty good
I had to lower my ac compressor to clear my hood and integrated the two mounts together for both the york and ac compressors. It is sort of a tight fit to tight then bolts, but it works great.
