'77 Camper Special - "The Sled"

That kinda looks like Billy's upholstery in Barstow. Those seat look great. What are you going to do for the floor? I bought one of those "MIP" vinyl floor mats from Brothers(made by ACC),couldn't get it to fit right. So they(ACC)sent me a carpet kit for FREE! Which fits PERFECT. Lookin' good.

As soon as He slows down a bit, He's gonna to insulate the crap outta the truck, lay carpet, cover the box in the same vinyl as the seats, re-carpet the bottom of the doors, strip the old plastics and re-dye them, headliner...etc. I'm on the hook for finding some decent door panels, but when I do, he'll strip and dye them as well.

At that point the interior should be done except for the dash pad and stereo.

Not bad for using the buddy system hook up. Except for the door panels, I didn't even pay for materials. He's a good Bro.

Son of a bitch...

Took the truck to the A/C shop cause it's startin to get a bit warm out here in SoCal and I need my A/C in full, operational capacity.

So the guy checks it out and his initial visual inspection showed that I had a leaky hose...real leaky. So leaky he can't keep a charge in the system long enough to fully inspect it. So he says it'll be $330 to replace the hose and re-charge it. Then, they can tell if anything else is wrong.

Okay.

Calls me back today and says my compressor is leaking, plus, I have a leak at the filter. So basically, He needs to rebuild the whole A/C system.

$1,000.

When I pick that thing up tomorow, that new A/C system had better give me goosebumps on my nutsack.

Mrs. Campy is less than thrilled. Understanding and cooperative, but less than thrilled.

ouch..kinda makes you think about vintage air setup..at least it's all new and the defrost is dehumidified
