Well, I figured I would start this thread today, since today I recieved my shippment from suicide doors.com. Well, half of it anyways. Here is what I got today.
I noticed it was only 4 boxes, and the order was supposed to be 5 boxes. No big deal, so I call ups to find out what happened to the other box. They tell me that it got held up fpr some reason, and should be here on monday. Cool, no harm. They also tell me that the box is smaller, and only weighs 3 pounds. So I start checking out my order, and find out, I am missing alot more then 3 pounds worth of stuff. Here is a list of things I am missing.
2 airlift easystreet 200psi dual needle guages
1 double guage panel
2 slam specialties re8 bags
2 viar 400 silver comp.
1 panhard bar kit
Before I go any further, let me tell you that I have had a great expeiriance dealing with SD.com, and have all the faith in the world that they will make this right.
So I call up SD.com and ask them about my order, and they tell me that the bags, and comp. are on back order, and the bags should ship out next week. Never got a definat answer on the viar comps. As far as the panhard bar, they are not sure why I didnt get it. They are supposed to be checking with the wharehouse guys to find out, and call me back today. As far as the guages and guage panel, we both think that it is in the package that is supposed to be coming in on monday. I guess we will find out.
Dont get me wrong, I didnt start this thread to rag on SD.com. This thread is to show yall how my bag project is coming along. As progress continues, I will post up more pics.
This si the first bagged truck I will own, so I am new at this. If at any time during this build yall have any questions comments, or suggestions, please post up. Like I said I am new at this. The guy doing the work for me is a buddy of mine that used to work at a shop called Super Sprort Customs. Well, they have long closed thier doors, so now he does bag jobs on the side out of his shop at his house. This will be the 3rd dually that he has done.
I told him I didnt want anything elaborate. Just something simple and functional, and I want to not have any problems towing my boat, or my 31 foot bumper pull travel trailer. He told me to give the project a month, since he can only work on it in the evenings, and on weekends. No problem, I have a work truck I can drive in the mean time, and dont even have to pay for the gas I use. LOL
And so the saga begins...................
