Im starting to gather parts to bag it, getting fittings from work (employee discount is nice), we have copper tubing too, but need to save a little for that. Going with all 1/2". Was going to run an engine driven compressor but that will cause to much drag on the motor and I wont have as much power, so Im going to go with 2 Viar compressors and a 5 gal. tank. Wanting to go with Slam Specialties bags but Im not sure what size to go with. Not sure which valves to go with either

A friend of mine is swapping all of his 1-ton dually stuff to 1/2-ton stuff and making it a short bed (I have no clue why). But, I have the option of trading him all of my 1/2-ton stuff (axle/drop spindles/tires/rims) for his. He has 16" alcoas/1-ton axle/no drop spindles.

BIG thing holding me back is that I just paid over 600 for my back tires (31x18x15 Mickey Thompson SR Radials). And he doesnt have leaf spring perches on the axle (I have no way of welding some on).

Hmm......decisions

You didnt ask for my opinion Karl, but I will go ahead and give it to you any way. I would pass on that deal. If you want a single cab dually, I know where one is you could prolly pick up pretty cheap.

I have a single cab dually, the point of getting the 1-ton stuff would be that I am going to go with the semi rims in the future and it would be easier/cheaper to go from 8-lug to 10-lug instead of 5-lug to 10-lug. Or..........idea's brewing

I think Im going to pass on this deal. With the rims/tires that I have now, my truck looks more complete, but with some 16" alcoas and 8-lug it will loook like just another lowered dually. Plus DIMA will make 5-lug to 10-lug adapters.
