anyone else done this????????

i really want the round eye front end on my truck but dont want the complete 79 hood because of the built in wiper cowl and there is no good way to hinge it anyways.

Ok here is what is in store for my truck.. we are putting the 88 fenders, hood, wiper cowl on the truck. or we did last night anyways. then we are putting the 79 core support on it. I know it doesnt work like that so stay with me... LOL. then we are cutting off the first 10 inches or so of the 88 fenders and hood and grafting the 79 parts onto the 88 parts. its gunna be alot of work but i think i will be a cool mod that NOONE will notice

The fenders bulge a little different also if I'm not mistaken, haven't looked at the differences in a while. It should be cool if it works.

How about cutting off the tail end of your 79 hood to fit the cowl. That would minimize a lot of extra work. Or modify your hood mounts to mount the 88 hood, then modify the hood so you would not have to cut up your fenders. It's just an idea.

I think with the look he wants the way he is going about it would be the best way.
