My father, brother and myself have been working on this truck for twenty-two years and it will return from paint in May.
All final assembly and body/paint work is being done in Orillia, Ontario Canada @ Body by Biggs, personally by George Biggs and Team. George Biggs assessed our truck in early Feb of 2009 and he has had the truck for about eight months. George found MANY problems with our setup before hitting the pavement thus saving us quite a bit of money in the end. Not only was the final assembly and paint/body work taken care of, but he has also taken care of many mechanical/drivetrain problems we have had along the way.
1975 C30 Camper Special shortened still retains 10,000lb towing capacity
6" coil/spindle up front with
8" flipkit out back
s/s lines
16" Alcoas
mild 454ci with demon carb, performer intake, pete jackson noisy gear drive, moroso electric water pump, ceramic coated inside & out LT headers *all reworked*
every nut and bolt was replaced with s/s equivalent.

Cool looking truck. W e definitely need pics of it when it gets painted. Do you have any pics of it assembled before paint? (with the front end on it). Where in ontario are you located?

haha, i never hear the end of it from my dad, he's pretty sure he's gonna be dead by the time it runs, and he keeps telling us to bury him in it with all his tools. we've done ALL the work ourselves except the final body work and the actual shortening of the frame which was done @ Lewis Motors in Collingwood, Ontario. They specialize in shortening/lengthening medium & heavy duty trucks. Sections of the back frame are also boxed to help retain the payload and towing capacity, even though it will never pull or carry anything.
Also in the future are new one-off custom windows that remove the pillar and sidevent on the doors and a factory low band back window. They're one off because they're a special kind of glass that is normally used on front windows, with a factory tint. The old man works @ the glass plant that produces the glass for some chevy/gm trucks.

The old man was looking @ the wheels of your truck and he's bitching at me because you dont have more pictures of it and he doesn't understand that I can't do anything about it, but he loves the 10bolt 24" wheels. Is there much modification needed to put those wheels on a '75 C30?

about the pics... im trying to get it build so i can have more pics NO if you guys arent bagging it the wheels would be a EASY up grade.. pretty much just bolt up. beside the fact they arent cheap but they are worth it.

What sizes are direct bolt on? I would assume the 19.5" would work fine, but would 22.5" bolt right up?

good looking project , its actually wat i was planning to for quite some time.
time to get my finger out and start doing it .
keep the topic updated and let me know if you come across things that are caused by the shortbed single cab frame .
youre using a halfton frame or a shortened 1 ton ?
