It's close to being done but I still don't think it's going to make it to South Padre Island this year, again.

A lot of them are plastic, this is a metal one from a square body blazer. I had to wait for a K5 to get parted out on the local Craigslist since LMC does not sell that part.

Thanks for the compliments guys, there will be plenty o pics next time.

This is an excellent project thread! You started off with a great truck to begin with. I couldn't believe how good of condition it was in, when I looked at the first few photos. It's very seldom do you run across a late 80's model crew cab dually in that solid of a state, up here (Detroit).

I don't quite agree on the choice in wheel size, mainly because tires that are like rubber bands scare the camel shit out of me. Also, I naturally like the look of having a rim with some meat on it's bones.

Other than that, the interior is outstanding and stock which is a HUGE plus! I love those basic old style clothe bench seating. Engine bay is very well maintained and not overdone. Can't beat it. Keep up the great work brotha!

Bookmarked. Watching this thread.

very awesome truck ya got there. I have a question about the front rolling stock. Did you have to change the front hub/rotor assembly to get the adapters and wheels to tuck? Thats my only question. very, very killer truck.

Thank you and no I did not. Although 1/8in. was milled off the inside of the wheels and the fender lips were cut/rolled for extra clearance, it wasn't necessary.
