I haven't been on here for a minute, so I figured I would show what I've been working on.
I finally bit the bullet last winter and committed to some 22's. I bought the adapters and got the wheels milled down by TN Wheel and Tire.
Since the truck was bagged with 16's and small tire I need to pretty much start over. The front consisted of using single wheel 1 ton rotors and adding 1 1/2" to the arms. The single wheel rotors use the same bearings and brakes, the only difference is the center bore is slightly larger on the single wheel rotors. I also sank the bag into the lower control arm to get the drop I needed.
The rear frame and axle was cut off and thrown out. I found a C&C rear and built a back half out of 2x4 tubing. The suspension is now a parallel 4 link and a watts link for SD.
Last weekend I put the bed back on and cut out the bed. The wheels now sit about 4 inches in the fender, I was a little disapointed with this. I am thinking of narrowing and stretching them up.
I will try to get some progress pics up in the next couple days.
There is a picture on Street Source, see link below.

Single wheel 1 ton rotors. These are about 3.5 inches shorter and use all the same bearings and brakes.

Control arms lengthened 1.5 inches with cups sunk in about 2 inches.

Cab and chassis rear end I found on craigslist, I don't remember exactly how much shorter it is than the Dana 70HD I had. I want to say it was about 6 inches narrower on each side.
Also, I did a rear disk conversion. Got the caliper brackets from 4wdFactory and the rotors and calipers are from the front of a 80's Chevy 3/4 ton 4wd.

Old frame.

Start of the new back half.

Watts link and 4 link installed. I jogged the frame in to keep the bags as far apart as possible.

First time on the ground with the front put back together.

Bed on and trimmed for the wheels. I already had tubs in the bed so those had to be cut out also.

What happened to the old "HD" hood?
I really like the mod on the rear doors.

I hated that hood. It was one of those good ideas that just didn't turn out how I wanted.
I got the cowl hood of Craigslist and like it alot better.

The conversion is really not too bad. I found some good right ups on a couple 4wd Offroad forums.
You just pull the axles out and take off the big nut that holds the hub/drum assembly on.
With that off you drive the wheel studs out to separate the drum and the hub. The studs are then driven through the new rotor into the hub.
There are 4 bolts that hold on the backing plate, the new bracket will take its place.
After that its just reinstalling everything and putting the calipers and brake lines on.
I have about $300 total into this conversion. You can also use a caliper off an Eldorado if you want e-brake still, not sure what year.
