yea the hood does clear. its got the escalade hood on it so that helps. the ac compressor has a lil more then an inch clearance when the hood closes. the only thing that hits are those resevoir things in the a/c lines. once the truck is running im going to take the line and have them modified to fit. other then that everything clears. i was kind of worried at first but it clears pretty good.

wat you could do is use a big (skyscraper size) piece of H beam laying on the floor under the frame chain the frame to that using ridiculously strong hooks welded to the beam , put a bottlejack inside the H move it either way to where you need to push up and start jacking , should be a little safer compared to jerryrigging the chain under the foot of a garagejack

Coming along nicely! Question: To the guys with floor pan mods, how are y'all getting the molded carpet to lay down correctly?
circuitguy   +1y
Did you lower the seat mounting brackets at all? They look low to the floor as mounted.

thats not the original molded carpet. the only part i modified was the front half of the trans tunnel. i had to move it up about 3 inches. other then that its the stock floor pan. because of that the original molded carpet wouldnt fit. there is a local interior shop that i go to for my carpet. he sold me the roll of backed carpet which i had about a yard extra for 50. i bought 8 yards of padding for 10 bucks a yard. i got 130 in the carpet and padding and have plenty of left over padding. i just rolled out the padding and trimmed to fit and rolled the carpet out and started from the back and worked my way forward smoothing it out and putting everything back in. the seats console and trim panels hold it in place. as for the seats, the are stock. they look lowered because the trans tunnel was raised and the stock console is sitting on the raised tunnel which makes the seats look a lil lower. hope that helps clear some things up..
