Well I sold my body dropped dually and a week later picked this one up.

It's a diesel and its a tall mofo.

Damn bro, I think I just got a nose bleed. lol. Looks like another blank canvas. What are the plans for this one? Congrats on the latest acquisition.

Plans, not sure. Probably leave it tall. wish I could find a way to lift the front to match the rear. Paint and hopefully some semis sometime.

congrats and welcome back to the dually world

Why not just level the back? It would still be tall. Why did you sell the other one???

Yes sold the other one. I want this one tall, so leveling the rear isn't an option. Thinking of a HD front suspension swap. Anyone ever done that?

No way...not directly from an HD, anyway, the frame is 100% different. However it's just a straight axle on leaf springs, so the same basic stuff as a 4x4 SAS conversion would apply.

If you used the axle from a 3500HD you'd be 10 lug in front (5, but uses the same 10 lug pattern wheel) so then you wouldn't match in the back; can't use the 10 lug Dana 80 from a 3500HD because it's about 8" narrower than your existing rear axle, being from a cab & chassis setup.

I'd think if all you want is for it to appear taller in front to level it out that you could lift it in front without doing anything extreme.

Oh, another thing about swapping in 3500HD stuff is I'm pretty sure nobody is making semi adapters for that unique 10 lug pattern.

Thanks for the info. was just an idea, rode by a HD today and thought about it. ha

Throw a few inches of body lift on it, slap on some "frito" (8 lug) 19.5's with 245/70/19.5 rubber and it'll look damn tough.

Hell with 3" of body lift you can almost fit a 3500HD grille filler extension on there, a little tweaking and it would probably fit. You'd need the front fender flares then too.

True, that's something to think about.

Also and idea, Thinking of bolting on some regular 8 lug 3/4 ton aftermarket 20s or 22s. Wondering if I used 3/4 ton hubs ont he front if it would work? and on the back I would still want to run dually, so if I could run the stocks on the inside with a thick steel wheel spacer in between? any ideas?
