Had a thought for you on the hydroboost braking system. Get rid of it and put in a newer vacuum booster system. That way you have a more reliable system and that motor makes tons of vacuum for a brake booster. I had the exact same system that you have and I took my hydroboost out first thing and replaced it with the system I took off the donor Suburban. You can find all the parts in just about any junk yard for super cheap, and it bolts right up. Below is a picture of my truck with the booster installed.

Ummmm... Diesels don't create "ANY" vacuum...... PERIOD........ Mechanical brakes with no assist or hydro boost for assist. That's your options. The hydro boost works better than vacuum boosters. There is nothing to them. They do cost more.......

"actually if you wana get all technical about it", that cummins has a gear driven vacuum pump, that is built inline with the power steering pump. "the vaccum pump actually drives the powersteering pump"

So you can actually do whatever you want there. you have both options.

Hey bagged dually, sorry i didnt get back to you on the electrical stuff man. Ive been swamped at school with speeches and finals i havent had time to think about much of anything. ill get to that as soon as possible.

i stand corrected, that particular engine doesn't have a vaccuum pump on it, but it is possible.

My engine actually does have a vaccuum pump on it. I'm not sure if it came stock on the 95's or the people before me put it on there. The donor truck had been wrecked at some point and the cab was from a 98 half ton with a vaccuum booster so they might have put the pump on for that reason. Either way I'm setting it up for hydroboost simply because that's what I have right now and I have other aspects of the truck I need to be spending the cash on. Once I get it on the road I may do away with the hydroboost but for now it's free with the parts I have.

As for the wiring I had kinda figured you got tied up with something. I can start the wiring today or in a couple weeks it doesn't really matter. Just whenever ya get a chance.

I just went and picked up another 20' of 1/4" 2x4 stock and a 4'x10' sheet of 18 gauge. That should be enough to finish my rear suspension, floor pan, firewall, inner front fenders and quite a bit more. Hopefully this will be the last trip to the steel store until I start doing my sheet metal bed floor. Not sure how many more trips I can afford lol. Just those 2 piece were $216.38. Steel is way to expensive. Before long poor guys like me will have to start using wood to build our trucks at this rate.
Anyway hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to get my notch done.
Can anyone send me the diminsions of their notch that is setting up for big rigs and has a body drop with the bottom of the frame cut?? Be a good starting point for my notch and since I'm having to do mine in the grass I'm not sure how great of a measurement I'll be able to get.
