hell yea! that's cool...

on your "z". just make sure your lower control arms are not going to hit the ground after you lay the 3x4 inside the top of your frame.
after i z'd mine. i clamped my 2x4 inside the frame and used a long level to set flat under the 2x4 and slid it over to the lower c-arm. as long as the level doesn't hit the arm. your truck will lay flat and the lower a-arms won't be the first thing that touches the ground...

that is pretty much the purpose of the z on our truck. its done to get the lower a-arms from being the first thing that hits the ground after you cut the bottom 4 inches of the frame off...

Man I hear ya on the whole "Chevy motor in a ford" thing, I bet you heard alot of crap about that. Ive got a 1951 Mercury and I also have a big block 454 to throw in that thing when I get to start building it. Im sure the haters will love me.

Do you plan on updating your control arms??????

i am trying to find a big piece of pipe so i can sink it in to my a-arms 2inch so im having fun trying to find a piece

and yeah i get alot of crap but i just tell ppl i all rdy had the 383 built stroker built so i was not going to spend more money to find a ford motor and build it when i all rdy had one

i have a piece of pipe left over from sinking the bag mounts in my lower a-arms. i'm using re7's though. a re 8 wont fit. it will rub.(although you could slice it and stretch it out to make the hole bigger. you just have to add a piece of metal to take up the space)

you can have it for free... just pay for the shipping. i'm sure it would fit in a usps large flat rate box. ( costs like $13.85)
