Thanks I ended up taking 9 inches out of the bed even though it doesn't seem like it the front section is about 2 inches longer than the rear

Think you are going to end up with a sweet truck. I agree the short bed is a little to short.

Pretty cool. Good for you taking a different angle on something and trying it out...looks like it was a great idea!

Just got back from ordering the metal for the frame and damn has it gone up in price 197 for 20 feet

Damn man that's high. I just recently picked up a 20' stick of 1/4" 2x4, a 10' stick of 1/4" 2x2, a piece of sheet metal, and a couple of other little odds and ends. All of that brought my total to $200. I guess steel prices probably vary place to place though.
In general steel is getting way to expensive. I bet I'll have 500 bucks on steel by the time my truck is back on the road.

Good job on your bed also. It's refreshing to see someone thinking outside the box and bringing a different approach to the truck scene.

I'm thinking of running airlift 2600 all around does anybody know if there would be clearance issues

2600's are way to small.... in that thing i would run slam RE7's in the front, and RE8's in the back.. or the new style contitech we run in alot our trucks also.. you can get them from MAC springs.. get a 2700 and 2800... Remember the bigger the bag you can run the better it will ride..
