Do you recall how close the oil pick up is to the bottom of the pan stock?? Did you have to shorten it also?? I'm about to put my 1995 12 valve in my dually on a 4.75" body drop and this is about the only thing I still haven't figured out. I already plan on making a custom intake but I'm unsure of how the stock pick up sits.
Also are you using a stock dodge intercooler or are you using an aftermarket unit or just not running one?? My 1995 intercooler is huge and I think I can make it work but it's going to take a lot of chopping on the core support. I think the best way is going to be running it upside down with the piping at the top side instead of bottom.
Interested in finding out what your doing with it.

i took out the same as i chopped the oil pan. the pickup sits right in the botom of the pan. it was real easy to cut and weld back together. and we havent decided on the intercooler yet. we had been set on running the stock components. but i seen a suburban at camp n drag that was running it and it was covering the whole basckside of the grill. and he used all the stock piping also to connect everything. but like i said we havent full decided yet on what we are gonna do.

well havent touched this truck in month and half. took a break on it to tackle a couple other peoples vehicles. but i got back on it this week with some new parts. we got some mmw uppers and lowers and changing over to 3/4 ton hubs and narrowed the front 3" total. got a drive shaft installed and finished, got a stock dodge intercooler and this week going to pick up a 47rh to replace the 47re we have now and also get a stock dodge radiator. things are moving along only thing i got left to do to the frame is gonna bend up some 1-3/4" tube to tie the rear frame section to under the back of the cab a little better and mounting 2 5 gallon tanks on inside of each frame rail. here are some new pics of the little progress ive made. enjoy.. cause im loving this build i got to be part of.

Have you got the intercooler in yet??i ran mine upside down in my core support with the pipes at the top. My dodge radiator wouldn't fit after that unless I ran it upside down also lol. Looking forward to seeing how you do your radiator.

Well I actually just halfway mounted the dodge radiator just a few mins ago. I was gonna try and run both stock pieces but as you had said before you flipped your dodge intercooler and would have to also with the radiator which won't work out too well. So gotta do one or the other aftermarket intercooler with stock dodge radiator or stock intercooler flipped with im assuming stock smaller Chevy big block radiator.

Mine is currently setup with the stock 1995 intercooler and 1987 454 radiator. That combination fits together very well with the intercooler upside down and from what others have told me will be more than enough to keep a lightly modded 12 valve cool all year round. The issue now is the cummins radiator hoses are so much bigger than the radiators inlets. Thinking about making the main sections of my radiator hoses out of exhaust type of piping so the ends can be flared to make it work. Not sure yet though.
Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
