Have any of you decided to take on changing your den and a half to a double den? If you have Let me save you some trouble. This is a link to a kit to make things much easier. I wish someone had told me about this before I took on this task. Let me know if you guys have any questions on how to make this easier. I will take more pics as I start to complete the dash. Have lots of pics of the build. I have completely rebuilt my suspension. I had no choice my upper ball joints kept braking. Thanks Michigan Metal Works. FU! MMW . Stay tuned for the pics of all three broken ball joints.

So are you talkin shit about MMW or thankin them?

Well you decide! Three broken balls joints and the only help that was offered was to send my control arms back and he would get them back to me in a few weeks. Not only was there no compassion that my truck was messed up I was told that I must have done something wrong and it cant possibly be his control arms. The Cup is at the wrong angle. The cup needs to be at 5 to 10 degree's to make the upper control arm be at the correct angle. I am not the only person who has been having this problem. I know of two other people that have had the same issue with the same BS response. Look I understand there are a lot of variables in custom rides but at least have some good customer service and do everything you can to help make things right. You cant drill out the upper ball joint and take all the strength out of the ball joint. When the bag is in the upper part of its stroke the ball joint and cup hit the spindle and put so much stress on the ball joint that it brakes. My boy Jason with the black body dropped dually was driving down the road and was towing a trailer and his right ball joint busted. He is lucky that he didn't get killed! All three times I have had issues it was the right side ball joint. So to answer your question yes I am taking shit! Better yet I speak the truth! Wait till I post all the pics of the MMW balls joint. Hope your not riding on them it may end up being your last ride!!!!

Reason i asked is cause you said you had to rebuild your suspension because you said you kept braking ball joints...didnt specify if it was the stock arms/balljoints that kept breaking and you swapped the MMW.....wasnt to long ago i remember you praising them and sayin how badass they were.....thats why i asked

I have had the same issue with mine. It was pretty scary goin down the highway with the trailer on the back. At ride height it was bound up. The outter part of the arm was touchin the spindle causin them to snap. He sent me new shafts... Have to ride tuckin wheel in the front now. Looks cool but now i take walmart u turns. Sucks cuz i dont feel comfortable with my wife and kid in it after two have snapped on me. I plan on buildin new uppers. The lowers are awesome but i just dont trust the uppers after breakin twice on me.

Glad I haven't ordered a set yet. Not sure that I will, but this helps my decision. Are they the jeebus joints that are breaking?
isd21579   +1y
Yes the jeebus ball joints are drilled out which makes them very weak. Also the cup that the jeebus joint sets in needs to be at a different angle. MMW could be the best shop around if he had better customer service. If it was my parts that were breaking I would do what ever it took to get my customers back on the road as soon as possible. Over night parts or come p with a perminate fix do something except tell your customers that it had to have been something they did wrong. I have all the emails back and forth from Taylor and I. I will post those later as well.

503 if you really want to do it yourself you can save alot of money and time if you want my advice. I will walk you threw step by step and take more pics so you can what has to be cut and what has to be fabricated. I wish someone would have posted a step by step of the Double den mode. Would have saved me alot of time, but that being said I learned a ton about fiberglass working with plastic. Let me know I will hook you up.
