Its actually the shaft that goes into the jeebus joint. Its tapped out way to much makin it weak. If the angle was different theyd be the tits. But mine have broke twice. I cant wait to rebuild the uppers and get rid of the jeebus joint. Just scares me after snappin twice..

I think I will stick to moog ball joints btried and proven. Since i will never be able to afford his arms anyways, i will be building my own. It must be really bad running 24's.

I have used that double din kit on my dually too. You can get by without and still keep the heater controls and pocket where they are stock and stuff the double in on top. Thats the way I originally did mine but decided to give the kit a try as I really didn't need the pocket there. The hardest part is trying to fit all of the wires behind the head unit. I don't have any pics and I still need to finish the filler work but I am close. Not sure that you want to use fiberglass though when working with plastic. I have never had good luck with it sticking after awhile. I used plastic filler on mine. It sands much harder but should give better results in the long run.

I wish that I would have used that kit. I made my kit. My boy LAYINGNUTZ told me about the kit after I showed him what I did. I was just posting that link to save someone some time that wanted to do the same MOD. I cut two mounting kits apart and plastic welded them and used some rivets to hold it all together. I then laid some glass and resin on the back of the dash so that the fiberglass filler would hold to it and have some strength. After that I slowly smoothed it all out then sprayed some high build primer to see my high and low spots. I am going to paint my ride so I am going to give you guys a sneak peak once the dash is painted. It turned out pretty good.
