No brake light but third brake light still works...wtf

So I'm going though the same problems where is this wire located so I can check it. My truck is fairly new to me so I don't really know where everything is on it.

The wire that was bad on mine ran from the fuse under the hood to the steering column switch. I just started testing wire until I found it not letting power through.
I'll see if I can find my wiring diagram and point out the wire on it for ya.
