Been browsing the forums for a few months now and figured I should sign up finally. Bought my B2200 (short bed, reg cab, base everything) last february, been dealing with the smoke demons ever since. Apparently it was cold enough that day that the block constricted around the shitty valve seals. Didn't smoke at all, started right up at -26 degrees (and yes, I made sure it hadn't been run recently, the block was cold enough for bare skin to stick to it).

Have an awesome new electrical problem I'll post elsewhere. There's a lot of B's around town but I think just a couple here on the site..

My truck was static-dropped when I bought it, it's pretty beat up, but it runs. I'm wanting to put more leaves into the back (monoleafed) and crank the front back up some before it snows. Wish I had pictures to post, but the truck is kinda fugly anyway.

I'm halfway done with the tach guage swap, my speedometer cable doesn't match up with the connector, any suggestions would help. Picked up some 14x7 rims but want to put them on AFTER it's up higher, just in case. hoping they'll clear on turns, too. Always love having a project, right?

hey - snoscraper - I think you've actually seen mine, the black one almost always sitting in the same spot off 10th.. if you're the guy who left the note on mine. Dude. I love the primer green. I was thinking primer red on mine, after I start dealing with the rust, but it's gotta be drivable first.. have you seen the B around town with the big-ass spoiler and exhaust can out the rear center? I'm not sure if he's serious or not.

I don't know if I'm going to be in town this weekend, but at this rate the truck is.. gotta figure out this wiring thing. I'm sure it's just a ground somewhere, but damned if I can find the root of the problem.

you have to move the speedo cable pull it out of the hole it come through (the metel one) and move it over to the other one should work out fine

I found the tutorial deal - that left side is being a bear to get to with the speedo cable. I'm actually not sure if mine is going to attach to the back once it reaches, the male end on the cable doesn't look like it'll match up with the female end on the guage cluster. God that sounds sick somehow. Outer diameter of the guage cluster end is like pencil size, diameter of the clip on the speedo cable is like.. marker size. Of course everything is sitting half-apart right now anyway.

haha, I only saw yours with the spoiler once and I think my imagination got to it after that - I was walking out to the trash and went "Hey, that's a truck like - wait, what the - how did that even mount on the tail?"

gotta say it doesn't look bad, just surprised me - you still have it like that or is it like the pictures now?
