this could be a optimal time to do some crazy work on it, swap the motor or anything else you can use the down time for. i thought my wreck was going to set me months or even a year behind in what i had going and the wreck turned out to be a blessing, because it forced me to finally park my truck for a time span, do some stuff that i had really been wanting to do that required more than a day's downtime, and gave me the chance to build some stuff the way i had been wanting to but couldnt. its always an idea if the truck isnt your only vehicle to drive

This is right on. It is really hard to do custom work on something you are driving everyday. But make sure you put a plan together and try to stick to it. If you start too many projects nothing ever gets done in my opinion.

Unfortunately it is all I have to drive. My wife of 9 years just took everything I owned.

well he'res an idea... if its possible you got paid out for the old one... hang on to it as your project, but find you something to drive in the mean time. that way you can keep the old one either for parts or for your project, and see about finding something to get around for now. a factory 2wd bed you can usually find for 100 bucks or so, and that would solve your damage issue... but as for the crank... thats a different story. you may or may not end up being able to find a replacement.

just a couple i found this morning...

this one would be good for just the motor in your truck... mx6 turbo

windowless canopy on a b...

just a couple ideas...

Yeah I paid 400$ for mine and have put about 2700$ in it. I've replaced about everything on it besides body and lower end of motor. It has been a money pit! They pay out was only 1200$ My ten year old son and I are going to work on it and let him have it. He's still upset that my wife took my/his 2002 S-10 that we built for him. So he told me not to get rid of it that he wanted it. I would much rather him have it than see it go to the junk yard. Thanks for the links I had already seen all but one of the trucks. I'm probably buying mattclark08 truck on this forum if he gets the head gasket fixed. He's going to deliver it from WV for 2100$

Okay I bought a 1988 B2200 extended cab 5 speed for 300$. The motor has a rod hanging out the side of the motor! So i need a 2.2 motor that I can have rebuilt or find a rebuilt 2.2. I need some 4 1/2 inch angled lowering blocks and New grill factory chrome grill or a billelt grill and factory chrome bumper or toyota 4 runner bumper and weber cab. and header and roll pan. If anybody has any of these items let me know if you want to sale them! Ill post pics of truck tonight or tomorrow.
