My last trip was in December, grabbed some spares: electrical part of ignition switch, blower resistor, dimmer wheels, Cab Plus rear window hardware, driver sunvisor, etc. I did install into mine the blower motor from a 1992 Cab Plus, as the aftermarket blower motors (both VDO and from NAPA) are a mm or 2 from fitting fine in the plastic bottom housing), even tried with the 1992 plastic housing, it's like nobody ever actually TRIED their blower motor to see if it fits.

Anyway, the Prescott Valley parts yard site states that they're down to ONE 86-93 B-truck, a 1987. I believe that's a B2600 without an engine that has doors don't open. So the parts yard mother lode is done for me. Apparently, I had stumbled pon that parts yard pretty soon after it had opened, and they had bought up much of the non-running vehicles in a wide area, so there were about a dozen B-trucks. I had pulled parts for mazdatruckin members (e.g. two valve covers, some fuel injection parts, stereo consoles, updated door seals, dash pad, AC switches, etc.). I bought and installed a few replacement parts/upgrades for myself, like steering column covers, metal 3-spoke steering wheel, and a perfect hump console.

But with so few B-trucks in Arizona at all, doubt that they'll be getting more than one a year. So looks like I'll be doing any such used-parts shopping through the Internet, or Phoenix-area parts yards (B-trucks super rare there as well), and there's one brown-interior B2000 in a different parts yard up there, mostly intact.

So another "paradise" lost. FYI, that PV parts yard very rarely has any vehicles newer than 1998, not sure why, likely $$$.

Well F!!!!!k!!! I guess I've made my last trip to the junk yard for a while. I did something to my back on Thursday laying in cars around in the junk yard and carrying my tool bucket.... I can't hardly walk today...damn it !!!!

I feel for ya Dan!
I have found out that I can hurt my back while lying flat on the floor! If I lay flat on my back and reach above my head with both arms....I have done this before while hooking up equipment like a hot tub that has an access door that only half your body can fit into.....when I do that, it stretches out my spine and allows a nerve to get in between the vertebra and then it will get pinched when I stand up.
If I'm on a ladder, say wiring a building, and you try to reach too far constantly instead of moving the ladder over some......again, both arms stretching and reaching to flip the wire over one more truss.....it will stretch my spine too far, and I'm done for, a few hours later!

So, be aware of stretching too far to do something, if you can master that, you won't hardly ever throw your back out......watch the lifting also....it does the same thing......stretches your spine.

When I lift my trailer to put it on the truck, or lift it off of the truck, instead of using the jack (I know, I know) I will stand with my back towards the trailer where I am going to lift it from, grab it and lift mainly with my legs while keeping my spine straight as I can. If I were to do this while facing the trailer, I would stretch my spine and pinch a nerve more than likely!

Hope you get better soon Dan!

Thanks Earl. Yea, unfortunately it's not my first rodeo in the back injury category. I was hit from behind by a girl doing 60 as I sat still on a highway for construction. Destroyed my Corolla GTS, I loved that car, so badly I had to get pried out of it by the bambulance guys....

Four years of therapy and medications later I was "released" from a doctors care. I've been pretty good since but I think crawling around in and under cars on cold concrete floors, like you said, with my hands above my head reaching didn't do me any good.

Hopefully this last only a week or so this time I can't miss work, I'm already doing 12 hour days now.

Any way thanks for the good wishes... here's to keeping my fingers crossed for a speedy recovery. Dan

Hello! I'm another Mazdatruckin transient looking for some answers and support. I'm sharing a sweet 93 fuel injected 5 speed extended cab with 225K miles on it with my son, who thinks it should be his "daily driver" against his '05 GTO. Now I'm trying to get it running again after trying to work on it myself. After today, I'm completely out of colorful words and phrases to express my "love". ...Of course my neighbors are happy.

That's also been my observation. But with Axel Breaker Earl, Steve_AZ, Dan Woodland, and others frequenting here, I expect the technical information to increase. With more photos, for sure !!!
