New owner 2nd b series owner

Look in my cup holder thread: I made a wooden insert with 2 cup holders to fit in the trapezoidal recess, just slips in nice.

Some things just slip in nice...

The seats are dirty and stained but better than the bench that was in it. I felt like I was sitting on the floor board. I may try and shampoo the seats until I redo the interior. I put in the rear panels in it last night and I find it weird that some trucks didn't have them from the factory. It looked really odd with the bare metal and plugs everywhere. It had block offs for the speaker holes and I tried to find the wires but couldn't. Usually they have that stuff there even on base models. Only thing i can figure is at some point they used the wires for subs. I got the tach cluster out of the truck also but I cannot get the tach, fuel and temp gauges to function. Anybody know how to check them? Maybe with a volt meter?

Mine was $13 with a military discount. I have read the thread about your cup holder and already stuck a piece of wood behind the seat to save to make my own.

Cusser, You are so lucky to live in AZ. I bet my truck has more rust on it that the whole junkyard in town. I just moved here from El Paso a year ago and fell in love with the southwest. I was raised in NC but I loved it so much out there I claim it as my home now. THEN, I visited a friend in Phoenix and HOLY SH_T. It is the most beautiful place I have ever been to. It has the climate of El Paso but its not a dirty border town. I will end up moving and staying in AZ one day. I can also ride my m/c almost year round.
