ive yet to go turbo... too much cash i dont have at this point in my life, BUt someday, someday... I want a 88-91 civic wagon. when i get that, i will get into that game hopefully. my civ is pretty stockish, but its cleaner than most on the road i see at least.

On the fuse block, the missing fuse spots, are they options? or do i need to put some fuses in there ( i should have prefaced that pic)

The outside one looks like it says OD which is overdrive. My mazda doesnt have those plugged up tho. But my mazda was so ghetto rigged im still finding stuff wrong with it. Your 90 model should not be any different than my 93. I think the picture you showed me kind of looks like a pressure regulator more than a fuel pump which would mean you have either the weber carb on it with a manual fuel pump (which you dont have the weber) or an electronic fuel pump. I would unplug the gas line on one side of it and either see if it squirts gas out of it when the fuze has power or find fuel pump and check it. More than likely your fuel pump is either out or rusted fuel tank has clogged up the sock. You could always hook a bottle up to the fuel supply to the carb and fill up the gas line with gas so the carb bowls dont rust or fill with that nasty green crap the ethanol leaves behind.

I completely removed the computer yesterday and cleaned up the entire passenger fender well. So if im wrong sorry as stock carb to weber conversion was botched. Mine has the weber tho and headers so the 100 vacuum ports are all gone pretty much.

The bottle technique works quite well if done correctly and the carb is not clogged up. It would at least get truck started and running long enough to possibly keep rings from getting stuck from sitting.

Was that other site Mazdatrucking.com ?

The first pic of the fuse block, mine is the same. The front two are empty. The cover doesn't even list anything for those spots. The middle fuse is the 80amp main. It is secured on the sides with nuts.

The mechanical fuel pump bolts to the head next to the intake manifold. I had one head that came from an automatic trans engine. That head had a block off plate in place because it had an electric pump. For a quick reference on what the parts look like go to rock auto website. There are pics of both style fuel pumps.

I have a civic as well, actually 3 of them.

cusser, yes, and i believe you were one of the first to help me out. I think i might have started off in the wrong place on that site... Plus when i go back, i have a hard time even finding where my thread is unless im logged in. Sorry wasnt trying to dis that site, i really need to put work in on the truck, but here in north texas we had the recent ice apocalypse and we are just now thawing out most of the way (the truck is on my driveway). Thank you for you suggests here and there. The fram part numbers are a definate help.

ok, the weather is great now, and ive been trying to sort this out again. My dad lent me his battery charger 2 weekends ago, so now the battery is topped off. no start still of coarse, but i def know that the cam and crank are lined up correctly.

i was attempting to check the compression but i couldnt get my plugs off and didnt have much time to figure out what size socket to get them free. the 5/8" standard spark plug socket i use on my honda did not fit, and i tried various 17, 18,19mm with no luck. i was kinda duckin out of the house while checking this and my wife called me back in so i gave up quickly. ***13/16" required i thinks from search (NGK Part # 7734)***

i hate this truck. have not checked the fuel tank yet nor researched where to access it etc. the relay i removed is still a mystery, hopefully its a non essential accessory relay that i might have damaged. it is a mitsubishi relay of some sort, FEW1, E2T16175, 9908 A.

(***is there an auto resize option for my pictures?)

***i also changed out the broken truckbed gate handle. didnt help the motor out surprisingly

the pictured relay, was located next to another relay near the driver door, kick panel area. the other relay had more than 4 wires i believe so i did not mess with it. i was looking for the fuel relay. the pictured relay DOES gets 12v when the ig switch is on.

It's a standard 13/16 inch/21mm spark plug socket.
