I used the BBK equal length shorties, drops right in without mods. And I like the 5.0 sound with shorties vs long tubes.
I also used the sway-away torsions and bilstein shocks for an xterra. You should at least get the B26i 4x4 torsions (that's what's in my current B22)
For big brakes I have used the same setup for a few trucks, here is what I do -
- Buy the 12.19x.81 rotor from wilwwod #160-0277 $25 from summit racing.
- Have a machine shop cut down and drill the stock rotor to become a "hat" for the wilwood rotor (this cost me $80/pr.) then buy the proper bolts and nuts to bolt it together - from wilwood or wherever.
- Make a template for the caliper, I use the RX-7 turbo 4 piston aluminum caliper ( no need to upgrade the master cyl)- I have a template for these and may have extras cut next time I do it.
- You then just need a couple adapters and braided lines if you like - I do think I remember you can also use the stock brake lines...
The whole setup cost me under $200 with used calipers, of course you could spend more if you get bradded lines, nicer pads, new calipers etc.
This setup ( and I had rear discs) made my truck stop very well from 140mph.
I am most likely going to do only the fronts like this on my current turbo truck, if I keep it long enough I may do rear discs too.
