I'm disappointed to say that I'm driving back to Houston in my lady's Solara. We didn't manage to get my beater up and running. My buddy was sick all day yesterday, so we had to put it off until this morning. We sprayed the two hornet's nests that had popped up in the bay while the truck has been sitting all year, then we pressure washed the ever living dog shit out of the bay before pulling to motor. The truck has a 1/4 million miles on it, and boy does it show.

The rear main seal was leaking worse than the deep water horizon, and the valve seals were as well. Some dillhole broke the tip of a spark plug off in cylinder four, and instead of backing it out carefully, they retapped the hole, then threaded a NEW sparkplug ontop of the old tip. The top of the valvetrain looked pretty clean, but the combustion chamber/pistons had an .125" thick layer of carbon buildup caked on. The cylinder walls looked awesome. There were a few scratches down a couple of the bores, but nothing too crazy.

Anyways, I'm now looking for a new clutch kit and a pacesetter, since the header I have in the truck now has had the extra EGR pipes ghetto rigged shut. It looks like garbage.

Does anyone know where I can buy a pacesetter and have it delivered by this Friday? The ones on eBay all have a 30 day lead time. That's crazy. I can't wait that long to get the truck up and running.

I saw that thread already actually. Shipping to Canada is expensive!!

I would have offered to buy it, but the bank account I have linked to my paypal account is empty. (My Credit Union based in Austin.) I have plenty of cash in my Houston account, but it's not linked to my paypal, so even if I did try and link it to my paypal account, I'd be looking at a two to three business day wait.
By the time I sent you the funds, and they cleared, it'll already be Friday. I'd be easier to just find a retailer who has one in stock and buy it with my debit card.

How is the stock manifold ghetto rigged?

Why can't you just clean it up in the meantime? I have seen on here a few guys have plugged those holes and it didn't look to bad.

If you are in Texas, why are you shipping to Canada?

Sorry for the confusion. In the thread I was referring to, Mymmerloss was asked to give the guy a shipping quote to Moosesomething Canada. I was commenting on how steep the shipping cost was.

As far as plugging the holes go, I was looking for a more permanent solution. My current exhaust manifold has chopped, crimped, and welded pipes all over the place. The truck already looks rough, and I didn't want to half ass it back together. The stock exhaust was chopped and it dumps just under the driver's seat. I'm going to have to have a new exhaust made either way, so might as well just buy a header and do it right the first time.

Speaking of which, I'm have a pacesetter on its way from Summit, (2nd day air) a new clutch kit, water pump, and timing belt kit as well.

Thanks for the advice so far guys!
